BaRDSToWN,KY - A NiGHT at the BouRBoN MaNoR!

Not sure why, but decided to take a mini-trip in January this year.
The COLDEST days we've had this year.
BRRRRRRRRR

We stayed at the Bourbon Manor and it was lovely and
we were greeted by someone simply adorable!

How cute is he?!

We've been married 38 years, but thought we would go for
the Honeymoon Suite!

Beautiful large room with a fireplace.
Loved it!

Although we're not bourbon drinkers, when you're in Bardstown
you simply must visit one of the distillery's so we went to Heaven Hill.

Paul was very informative and gave us samples.

These unusual looking buildings are full of barrels of bourbon.

Next we went to a tour of "My Old Kentucky Home" -
the house that inspired Stephen Foster to write the song.

Ken freezing but being a good sport and going on a tour...

Dinner at Talbot Tavern
(Over 200 year old Inn & Tavern)

Jesse James actually stayed in this room and they have
preserved the bullet holes where he shot into the walls.

Unlike the movies, Jesse James was not a good looking guy...

Actual bullet holes in the wall.

Our host was still there to greet us after dinner when we got back
to our room...

This time he brought the whole family...
